Allegretto Vineyard Resort

in Hotel Reviews, USA on 01/31/19

“You don’t always have to travel far to get away”

Nope, this isn’t Europe. It is the Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles. It is a perfect place to relax and feel like you’ve traveled to Italy.

The Allegretto Vineyard Resort

We visited Paso Robles for a Birthday celebration with friends. I was looking for a place to stay that had a Vineyard close to the main area of the town. On TripAdvisor, I found the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. The resort had excellent reviews and our friends have stayed here before and loved it.

Upon arriving we checked in and were delighted to have an early check-in thanks to Carly. It was my husband, Gary’s 50th Birthday and a surprise was waiting for him in the winery so our timing was important.

Surprise, Gary! I love surprising my husband! One of his best friends showed up for a Birthday surprise.

Cheers to Paso Robles and to Wine!

The Amenities

We only stayed for the weekend but had the time of our lives. A highlight of staying here is that they have a winery in the hotel. If you are a guest they offer a two for one tasting deal. You can enjoy your wine in the beautiful, tranquil courtyard area.

The Allegretto Resort has an onsite restaurant called Cello. We dined there for breakfast and dinner. They have a full bar area with live music on the weekends. I would highly suggest having at least one meal here during your stay and we even met the owner at dinner one evening.

Pizza and Wine, a perfect combination

Allow time in the hotel to walk around outside and enjoy all the artwork and landscape. You can walk around the vineyards, the firepits, gardens, the courtyard, a small Church and stroll a musical labyrinth. The grounds are beautiful.

The musical labyrinth

They also have a fitness center, spa, and outdoor pool with hot tub. Unfortunately, we were so busy exploring wineries each day that we never had time to use these wonderful amenities. Next time I would plan a relaxation day here just to enjoy the resort. A glass of wine and a book by the pool sounds like a perfect day.

The Pool

And if you get bored, you can play Bocce ball or rent the yellow tandem bicycles.

The Room

We used American Express reward points to book our room and I went with the lowest level room category for this trip. I knew we would not be spending much time in our room this trip. Our room was nice and spacious. They provide two complimentary bottles of water daily which is always a nice touch.

Room 260

The shower was large and the toiletries were luxurious.

They reward return guests with a special discount! I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Paso Robles and it was a quick Uber ride into the main town. The location was perfect. Great place and wonderful hospitality.

Cheers, Bonnie

What’s your happy place? I have a lot of them bu What’s your happy place? I have a lot of them but San Diego is in my top 5 places I always want to travel to. Why? It has the best year round weather in the US. It’s mostly 70 degrees and sunny. There is so much outdoor things to go do like sail, surf, ride bikes, play on the beach, watch the amazing sunsets and hope for the green flash, shop, dine, go whale watching or see dolphins! It’s been a nice break from the cold weather in Colorado.
