Snowmobiles are exciting, thrilling and will give you a sense of adventure.
Colorado Snowmobiling
I’ve lived in Colorado for twenty years now. This month of March, I will show you the beauty in my own home state. Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the United States because of its open spaces, national parks, and the famous Rocky Mountains. I am fortunate to live in Grand County, it is most notably known for the Winter Park Ski Resort and Grand Lake’s entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a place where tourists and locals love to come play.
One of my favorite wintertime activities is exploring by snowmobile. Snowmobiling is a wonderful way to get outside, have an adventure, and explore our landscape. You will be wowed by the views and when you live here they never get old. We snowmobile up the old Rollins Pass and historic Moffat Road Tunnel Route to Corona Bowl. In the early 1900’s David Moffat built a railroad over Rollins Pass called the Hill Route. You can still see the old train tracks today. A sunny day is the best time to tour Corona Bowl because the mountain views and endless peaks are perfect for those vacation photographs. Grand Adventures offers tours to Corona Bowl if you find yourself in Grand County on a winter vacation and wanting to snowmobile.
