The Hotel Teatro is a 4 star, boutique hotel in the city of Denver, Colorado. Teatro means Theatre in Italian and the Hotel Teatro is next door to the Denver Center of Performing Arts. Bonnie loves going to the theatre which makes this hotel one of her absolute favorite hotels in Denver. She has stayed here many times and enjoys the theatrical theme present in the photographs in the hallways.
The Hotel Teatro Hotel Review
Location, Location, Location! This hotel has the best location on 14th Street. It is right next to the Denver Center of Performing Arts making it the best choice for a hotel and romantic date night out. The Four Season’s Hotel is across the street, Larimer Square is just around the corner by a block, and the Colorado Convention Center is within walking distance. They offer courtesy bicycles and a courtesy car to take you anywhere in a 2.5-mile radius too. Take the courtesy car when you want to show off those new high heels on date night!
This hotel has recently renovated its guest rooms and common areas. It has a full-service restaurant called the Nickel and it is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine before or after a show.
In the mornings, The Study is a relaxing place to be. Bonnie enjoys the mornings catching up on social media with a cappuccino or an omelet for breakfast. Newspapers are complimentary if you prefer to catch up on the world the old-fashioned way. The decor feels like being in a Restoration Hardware store and it is a great place to hang out. Enjoy a delicious cappuccino made with local Pablo’s coffee. House-made fresh pastries and muffins are available too. You will find guests mingling over cocktails or coffee all day long in this relaxing, inviting room.
The Guest Rooms
Bonnie has stayed in various rooms at The Teatro. Keep in mind most rooms are small ranging from 200 to 330 square feet. This is a boutique hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated and have a quaint, cozy feel. Recently, she was upgraded from a Petite Queen to a Superior Queen room. The Superior room has cozy bathrobes, a full-size soaking tub, separate shower with rain shower head, and a bedroom area with couch and large flat screen tv. Each room has a mini-fridge and a Keurig coffee maker too. It feels like a mini-suite.
Last year, Bonnie was lucky and they upgraded her to a King Corner Suite Room! Here is a quick video of the room. It is one of the largest rooms at the hotel at 550 sq. ft. unless you book the Chancellor’s Suite with a Limestone fireplace.

Travel Tip
It costs $42 a night to park your car at The Teatro. Valet fees in Denver range from $40-$50 depending on the hotel and this adds additional cost to your hotel stay. Since the Hotel Teatro is next to the Denver Center of Performing Art’s parking garage on Arapahoe Street, it is less expensive to park there. The last few times Bonnie stayed at the Hotel Teatro she parked in the garage and walked across the street to save money. Last Saturday, she paid $15 to park overnight in the DCPA parking garage and it was easy to walk a block to the hotel with her roller bag.
A glass of wine at The Nickel, dinner on Larimer Square, a show at the DCPA, and a night in the 4-Star boutique, Hotel Teatro is the perfect date night. This hotel is quaint, unique, and smaller than a brand hotel like Marriott, Hyatt, or Hilton. The staff is friendly and the hotel has a more personalized feel.
After staying in many huge massive chain hotels the Hotel Teatro is always a welcome change.
Cheers,
Bonnie
