Bonnie booked a 3- night stay at the Marriott Resort in Aruba using her husband’s Marriott Rewards. She escaped the snow of Colorado and enjoyed a quick vacation for much needed sun and fun! 120,000 Marriott rewards points and $10.50 was the best use of rewards points spent for her mental health vacay!
The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino is located on the white-sand beaches of Palm Beach, Aruba. Believe Bonnie when she says. “wow!” The sand of the beach isn’t hot and it’s super soft to walk upon. She enjoyed the location of the Marriott because it is in the high-rise area of the island and on one of Aruba’s best beaches. There is windsurfing and kiteboarding just a few steps down from the Marriott.
Check out this beach!!
The Rooms
The King Room was spacious with a large walk-in closet. The bed was the right amount of softness for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had a double vanity with his and her sinks. The room was quite large with a couch too. Bonnie had a partial view of the Ocean. If you stay on the side overlooking the Ritz Carlton you get amazing views of the Kitesurfers from your balcony. Coming to Aruba isn’t about being in the room it’s all about the beautiful beach and getting out to play!
The partial ocean view from the room not bad! If you look down you see a concrete roof, the Ritz Carlton, and the parking lot. If you look out this your view. It’s fun to watch the kitesurfers from your balcony.
Amenities
The resort has a large pool area with swim-up bar. The hotel shelters the pool area from the wind. If you have never been to Aruba it is always windy. It’s a beautiful pool area. When Bonnie was relaxing at the pool two kids playing ball kept splashing her and the ball even landed on her beach chair. It was quite annoying but never to worry you can just saunter off the adult pool instead. It’s a gated area by the fitness center.
The fitness center is two levels and it has all the high-end equipment you need to work off those vacation calories. The views from the upstairs cardio level are nice overlooking the adult pool.
There is a spa at the resort but Bonnie didn’t get a chance to check it out.
The Food
The Ritz- Carlton doesn’t even have a Starbucks but the Marriott Resort does! You can even get a 10% off discount on food when you are a Marriott Rewards member. It was pretty awesome and worked for cappuccinos in the morning. Bonnie loves Fish Tacos and The Waves Grill serves the best fish tacos. Four tacos are in an order for $15. The servers are so friendly and they even split our order for sharing. They are served with a local papaya hot sauce that is made on the island. Watch out it’s spicy! Every day Bonnie and Gary shared an order for lunch! The food on Aruba is delicious. They dined on fresh seafood every day and got into a habit of ordering ceviche for every dinner.
The People
The employees at the resort are smiling and greeting everyone. The friendly employees made Bonnie feel welcome. A huge thank you to Bianca, the Concierge for helping her with her lost I-phone issue on an excursion. She made calls every day and was genuinely concerned. You may also get a 10% discount on tours by being an Elite Marriott member on certain excursions. Just ask Bianca. Everyone was above and beyond friendly. Good service and good people are what makes this the resort to choose.
The Sunsets
Need I say any more?
The beach, location, amenities, spacious rooms, good food, and friendly people are the reasons to choose the Aruba Marriott Resort. Bonnie is craving those fish tacos and papaya hot sauce as she writes this review.
