Calgon, Take me Away….. Remember that commercial? A Mom in desperate need of pure relaxation. A recent spa day at the Grand Velas Riveria Maya made me think of that commercial. It was a day of pampering and unwinding. In our busy lives,  it is good to treat yourself to complete and total relaxation, like a spa day. If you… View Post

Hi I’m Bonnie. I’ve always loved traveling to new Hi I’m Bonnie. I’ve always loved traveling to new places. I grew up in a small town and most people never crossed the Bay Bridge into the big city. I always felt that I was different from most of the people that lived in that small town. I had big dreams of seeing the world and wanting more! What are places like across the Atlantic Ocean? Traveling always inspired me and gave me a sense of adventure.

I’ve been fortunate and blessed to travel quite a bit and I started this account to share the world’s beautiful places with others. I get excited to get out of bed in the morning when I am going on an airplane, a road trip, or boat trip. Since I got a dog, Cali during Covid I pretty much plan road trips and boat trips.

The summer has arrived and I feel like it’s already flying by. Can we please make it slow down? I’ve made a best summer list of all the places I want to visit. This summer I will be posting about my upcoming boat and road trips so follow along if you like to explore and travel like me. I love to meet and connect with people that share beautiful places and, hidden gems, and travels and look forward to following you back.

I also love dogs! They make great travel companions too! So please share your favorite dog friendly places. Now if we could only make flying with dogs easier!

Share your best summer list with me and maybe I’ll get more ideas to add to the list. Summer is the best season of the year to take a trip near the water.

It’s nice to meet you and I wish you the best summer ever.

We had some Colorado friends fly in for a visit this week. They haven’t been to San Juan Island since the early 2000s. We toured by car and by boat.

I personally think San Juan Island is one of the best destinations in the US to visit. If you love nature, hiking, boating, and scenic places this is a place to add to your bucket list. If you get lucky you may even see an Orca 🫍

It poured rain and we sat on the covered patio celebrating with a bottle of Champagne while a wedding ceremony was celebrating and dancing. If you enjoy old historic hotels this is a fun place to stay. Roche Harbor always comes alive in the summer.
