In April of 2017, I created a website, It’s a Bonnie Thing. I don’t think I intentionally set out to be a travel blogger. There are already so many established travel bloggers out there like Nomadic Matt, The Blonde Abroad, My Life’s a TravelMovie……the list goes on. Like the World Needs Another Travel Blogger  You know these pictures. The ones… View Post

This Holiday Season

in Inspiration, Lifestyle & Beauty on 12/17/17

How many Holiday Parties have you been to so far? Are you feeling the Christmas Spirit yet? Don’t get me wrong, I obsessed for the perfect gifts last week, hand addressed all the Christmas cards 100 to be exact and decorated the two trees in the house. It was stressful and my mind was blank. At times I questioned myself,… View Post

in Adventure & Tours, Mexico, Travel Tours on 12/08/17

Snorkeling with Whale Sharks has been high on my bucket list for many years now. Jaws frightened me when I was little and being in open water makes me nervous. Why would I want to jump in the water with one of the largest fish in the sea? Getting out of my comfort zone and challenging myself to new experiences… View Post

in Travel Tours, USA, Washington on 11/11/17

Bonnie had one day to explore the Washington DC area. She was torn between going to Georgetown or Alexandria. She asked wait staff and Uber drivers for their opinions, most recommended Georgetown since it was closer to DC. Bonnie wanted to explore both and found a way to do it. Hmmmm! Georgetown? Or Alexandria? That was my big question! How can… View Post

Even though we have big, tall mountains like 14ers in Colorado, Mt Baker just always seems bigger but it’s only 10,781 ft. It is the third highest mtn. peak in the state. I love how these mountains just seem to rise from the sea.
Victoria, Canada! You can take a seaplane, a ferry Victoria, Canada! You can take a seaplane, a ferry or your private boat to reach Victoria. We spent the weekend at the Causeway Marina right in the heart of Victoria! This is the prettiest marina I’ve ever stayed in. We cruised to meet the San Juan Island Yacht Club to celebrate their Past Commodores cruise. This is always one of my favorite cruises of the summer calendar. Unfortunately I got sick and missed out on one of the most highlighted events of the season. You know I’m sick if I choose bed over a party with dinner and dancing.

What is your favorite destination on Vancouver Island, Canada? Next summer I am planning a road trip and a boat trip around the island so your comments will be helpful.
